About this Course

This Winter Basketball League is open to girls and boys attending K-8th grade. All Teams and Divisions will be organized by grade level: Separate Girls and Boys Teams for Kinder-8th grade. Each team will have a parent coach who will lead their team in a variety of skill development drills. Games will begin on January 10, and the season will run through February 28 with each team playing 8 games. K-3rd grades will practice 20-25 minutes before their scheduled game on Saturdays. Grades 4th-8th will have 1 practice each week on Friday afternoon/evenings. Games & practices are either at Fisher Middle School Gymnasium (K-8th) or Valley Sports Center (K-3rd) Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We will email additional league details after the registration deadline. Families should expect an email in early December. Tentative Divisions & Game Times: All Teams will be organized into Grade Level Divisions and teams will be formed based on age, grade, and player skill. Specific age divisions will be announced based on sign-ups. -Girls' Teams for K-8th (K/1st, 2nd/3rd, 4th/5th, 6th-8th) -Boys' Teams for K-8th (K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th/5th, 6th/7th/8th) *Tentative Divisions. Divisions may change based on enrollment. *Game schedule is tentative until final age divisions are finalized. Each team will play 1 game lasting about 40 minutes on Saturdays. This is a rotating schedule, so you may play an 11 am game one week and then a 10 am game the following week. Listed below is the tentative game schedule for the various divisions (Schedule/Divisions may change based on registration numbers). Grades K-2 will play with a drop-down basket and practice 20-25 minutes before scheduled game time. Tentative playing times for the grade levels is below, but this may change based on registration numbers. Kinder Division: 8:20 am - 10:45 am 1st Grade Division: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm 2nd/3rd Grade Division: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm 4th/5th Grade Divisions: 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm 6th-8th Grade Division: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Practices for 4th-8th grade TBD: *Schedule may change due to Fisher School Activities *Grades K-3 Practice takes place before games on Saturdays
