AM: Enroll your child in this exciting filmmaking and animation camp, where creativity and technical skills come to life in a fun and supportive environment. Inspired by films like Kubo, Missing Link, and Boxtrolls, this hands-on, instructor-guided camp will nurture your child's passion for storytelling and visual arts. Students will dive into the world of frame-by-frame animation, creating their own 135-frame films from start to finish. They’ll learn essential skills like storyboarding, photography, and editing, as well as advanced techniques such as frame rates, pan & zoom, and animating texts. The camp also covers concept envisioning, script writing, and sound editing. Additionally, students will explore different animation styles, including claymation, object, cut-out, and pixelation. By the end of the camp, your child will have a complete animated film to share and the foundational skills to continue their creative journey to make animated gifs with sound of their own. PM: Our "Impactful Blogging for Outstanding Reach" course introduces students to the exciting world of blogging. This course is divided into two key areas: first, students will learn to create and customize their own WordPress blog, adding text, images, and videos. Second, they’ll explore how to structure their blog effectively, choosing fonts and positioning elements to enhance readability and impact. By combining technical skills with design strategies, students will learn to craft engaging and visually appealing blogs that effectively communicate their messages to a wide audience. Join us to help young creators develop their voices and achieve outstanding reach through impactful blogging! This course has been designed by CompuChild’s outstanding team members with PhDs, EdDs, children’s librarians, investment bankers, and big-six consultants. We are one of the only two national children’s education franchises that are ‘STEM Certified’ by Cognia. A non-refundable material/equipment fee of $50 is due to the instructor on the first day of the camp.
