About this Course

Kids’ Carpentry is a year-round enrichment program designed to teach girls and boys, kindergarten-6th grades, the safe-use of hand tools and general woodworking skills. Through a sequence of projects, the young carpenters gain the skill and competence to complete increasingly more complicated projects. From boats to bird feeders, doll furniture, clocks, games, airplanes, and many more, the kids have a wide range of projects to choose from besides designing and building according to their own needs and imagination for the veteran carpenter. $50 Materials Fee payable to instructor. NO CLASS: 11/17, 11/24 Kids Carpentry is committed to the safety of our students and have operated without incident since 1982. -Students are taught the proper way to safely handle basic woodworking tools and must demonstrate competence before moving on to the next lesson. -Students must wear closed toed shoes to prevent injuries ( no crocs, no slippers, no sandals). -Students are provided safety glasses to prevent eye injury. -There are no power tools in Kids Carpentry.
