About this Course

The camp environment provides a unique opportunity for youth to build leadership skills, particularly in assisting Camp Leaders with the younger camp participants. They will learn specific skills for working with co-workers when helping the boat attendants at the boat docks and gain experience planning and leading activities in a camp setting. The LIT’s will be able to enjoy the full Boating Camp experience while being challenged to build their skills and confidence. Bring a sack lunch (M-F) and water bottle. Wear comfortable clothes (that can get wet), sun screen, and tennis shoes or sandals with heel straps. Life Jackets must be worn at all times while on the lake, PFD's are provided and required while on the lake at all times. Parking is required for those cars staying longer than a half hour. Parking is free for drop-offs. Classes are held at Vasona Park, check-in at the boat center.
